The methods of commodity quality inspection

There are many methods of commodity quality inspection, usually divided into sensory inspection, physical and chemical inspection, biological inspection methods, and other aspects.

Sensory test method

It is a method to detect and evaluate the quality of goods through the function and practical experience of human sensory organs. That is, to use the eyes, nose, tongue, ear, hand, and other feeling organs as inspection instruments, combined with the usual practical experience of commodity appearance structure, appearance defects, color, sound, smell, taste, elasticity, hardness, smoothness, quality, packaging, and decoration, and the kinds of commodity varieties, specifications, performance, etc. There are mainly: visual tests, auditory tests, taste tests, smell tests, and touch tests.

The sensory inspection method is widely used in commodity inspection, and any commodity for consumers always uses sensory organs to evaluate the quality first, so the sensory inspection is very important.

Characteristics of the sensory test method:

A simple method that is fast and easy to operate

No complex, special instruments, equipment, reagents, or specific places are subject to conditions.

It is generally not easy to damage the goods.

Low cost.

The sensory identification method is widely used in commodity identification, and consumers of any commodity always first use sensory organs to evaluate its quality, so sensory identification is very important. Therefore, this method is often used in the production, supply, and marketing processes of industry and commerce.

Physical and chemical test methods

It is a method that involves the use of various instruments, equipment, and reagents using physical and chemical methods to detect and evaluate the quality of goods in the laboratory. It is mainly used for testing the composition, structure, physical properties, chemical properties, safety, hygiene, and pollution and damage to the environment.

Characteristics of the physicochemical identification method:

The test results are accurate and can be quantitatively expressed by numbers (such as the type and content of the ingredients, some physical and chemical properties, mechanical properties, etc.

The inspection results are objective, and they are not affected by the subjective will of the inspectors, so that the evaluation of commodity quality has an objective and scientific basis;

Can deeply analyze the internal structure and nature of commodity components and can reflect the internal quality of commodities.

Biological testing methods

It is through instruments, reagents, and animals that we determine whether food, drugs, and some daily industrial products and packaging harm human health and safety and perform other performance tests.
